  • Q: When is the 2017 Awards entry deadline?

    A: The call for entries deadline is on 3 February 2017. If you need extra time beyond this point we can allow a week extension until 10 February, this should be agreed in writing with our Awards Manager prior to the 7 February and will incur a fee of £50 on top of the normal entry fee.   • Q: What is your confidentiality policy for Award Entries?

    A: All material will remain confidential to the judges. Winning and highly commended cases will be published in The Marketing Society Clubhouse and on our partner’s website Warc.com. Entrants have the right to mark financial info or sensitive parts of their entry as ‘Not for publication’. This will in all cases be respected by the organisers.

  • Q: When does the judging take place?

    A: The judging takes place in March 2017. Find out more about the judges here.

  • Q: When will the shortlist be announced?

    A: The 2017 shortlist will be announced on The Marketing Society Awards site in April 2017.

  • Q: When is the Awards night?

    A: The 2017 Marketing Society Excellence Awards Night will take place in June 2017, in London.

  • Q: Do I need to be a member of The Marketing Society to enter the Excellence Awards?

    A: No. Please leave the membership number field blank on the entry form if you are not a member. Members of the Society will receive a discount on their entries however, if you wish to apply for membership please contact James Sutcliffe in our membership team.

  • Q: Do we need to submit a paper copy of our submission?

    A: No, the entry system is all online.

  • Q: Where can I find tips on what an award-winning case study looks like?

    A: On our Excellence Awards YouTube channel.

  • Q: Does my paper have to be submitted in Microsoft Word?

    A: Please provide all documentation in PDF format, or jpeg format for any photos.

  • Q: Can I attach supporting documents and if so, how many?

    A: Yes you may. A maximum of three images no larger than A5 at 300dpi.

  • Q: What is the maximum file size for my submission?

    A: Your main submission must be no more than 5MB. Any files above this size will not be accepted.

  • Q: How can I nominate my choice of Marketing Leader of the Year 2017?

    A: We ask for nominations at the beginning of February. Members of The Marketing Society will then have the chance to vote for the winner which will be announced at the Awards night.  Alastair Macrow, Senior VP, CMO McDonald’s. , CMO, Diageo was our 2016 winner. See his reactions here.

  • Q: Where can I find past case studies?

    A: Members of The Marketing Society can access over 200 winning (and highly commended) papers from the past few years in the Library section of the Clubhouse. Login using your Marketing Society membership number and password (different to your details on our Awards site here).

  • Q: Have you produced any publications relating to the Awards?

    A: The Marketing Society first published Marketing Excellence in 2006, the second edition contains 34 new case histories, selected from the last four years of The Marketing Society Excellence Awards. Marketing Excellence 3 is available to buy direct from our site and also via Amazon.

  • Q: Which category should I enter? How do I know if it is suitable?

  • Q: If we win, are we able to receive more than one trophy?

    A: Multiple trophies are able to be purchased. Please email the team for more details.
